Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DinDin mobile application and related services (collectively, "the App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. The Service

DinDin is a household meal planning and grocery list application. It lets you plan meals, build shared grocery lists, rate cooked meals, keep a meal history, and coordinate with other members of your household. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

3. Your Account

You sign in to DinDin using a third-party provider (Google or Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the security of the account you sign in with and for all activity that occurs under your DinDin account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Households and Shared Content

DinDin is built around shared households. When you create or join a household:

Other members of that household can see your display name, email, and profile icon, and the meal plans, grocery items, ideas, and meal history shared within the household.
Content you contribute to a household (such as meal names, grocery items, and ideas) is part of the shared household. If you leave a household or delete your account, that shared content may remain accessible to the remaining members.
You are responsible for who you invite to your household. Only invite people you trust.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
Upload or share content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes the rights of others;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other users' accounts, or our systems;
Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the App or its infrastructure;
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by law.

6. DinDin Pro Subscriptions

DinDin offers an optional paid subscription, "DinDin Pro," which unlocks additional features such as planning a week ahead, a meal ideas list, unlimited household members, and full meal history.

Billing. Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and are subject to their respective terms. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period.
Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. We do not separately process payments and generally cannot issue refunds directly.
Price changes. We may change subscription pricing. Any change applies to future billing periods and, where required, will be communicated in advance.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the App (meal names, grocery items, ratings, ideas, and similar). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the App to you and your household.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep the App available and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will meet your requirements or that any data will always be accurate or available.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DinDin and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for account deletion). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that could harm other users or our service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Minnesota.
